There was a time
Just a dream away
When the world was yours
Only games to play
You reached for the stars
It's only just beginning
As it says in the song
Were winning were spinning

I Know, I Know (demo)
04:47
|
|||
It really went too far this time
You clearly fell apart
You nearly came undone this time
I know I know
We lie when we say I'm fine
Ignore all the smoke and signs
We lie when we say I'm fine
Ignore the alarms and signs
Just waiting why you stay in line
Just playing at a part
Everything's so cruel sometimes
I know I know

The lion is a tired harp
I think I understand
I'm from that lonely land
If the lion is a tired harp
I think i understand
I'm an invisible man
If the lion is a brave spoon
But for my part I'm a coward heart
The lion is a witty chair
The birds have flown
And left us all alone
The lion is a proud moon
It's hard to verbalize
My mouth full of lies
The lion is a lazy boot
I think I understand
I'm from that broken land
The lion is a tired heart
We are our own kingdom

I Oh I (demo)
04:35
|
|||
You come and go, but I
The wind must blow, but I
Leaves fall and grow
But now is all I know
Now is all I know
You had to go, but I
Tracks in the snow, but I
The hands turn slow
But now is all I know
I oh I
You just can't stay, but I
Rivers find their way, but I
Sun brings the day
But now is all I know
Now is all I know
It's ok
It's alright

No Stars (demo)
05:55
|
|||
If it wasn't for this or it wasn't for that
Excuses that hold you back
All of the fuss. All of the tears
Hazy days add up to wasted years
Look at you at the wrong end of the way
And that's how you stay
We were out every night
What a beautiful sight
The artificial light
Made everything wrong, seem right
With no stars up above we hoped for love
We were out every night
What a beautiful sight
The artificial light
Made everything wrong seem right
With no stars up above we searched for love we hoped for love
Difficult Knot to try and untie
Confusing head full of lies
Know what I want not what I need
No one stays where I always lead
Look at me at the wrong end of the way
And that's how I stay
With no stars
The mornings in bed
You try to forget
Refusing to notice it
You always sink you never swim
Better days but the chance is slim
Look at you at the wrong end of the way
And that's how you stay
